Six Sigma
Six Sigma is a business management strategy to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (effors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. (by wikipedia). Six Sigma seeks to decrease the rate of defects to less than 5% or increase the rate of products to pass certain standards of quality up to 95%. Some companies highly value this skill when they look for employees.

- Course duration is a weekend.(3 days - Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Friday, March 9, 2012: 8:30am - 4pm
- Saturday, March 10, 2012: 8:30am - 6pm
- Sunday, March 11, 2012: 8:30am - 1pm
- Meals will be provided on all three days.

Lean Enterprise
Lean is a production practice that considers the expenditure of resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer to be wasteful, and thus a target for elimination. Essentially, lean is centered on preserving value with less work (by wikipedia). Companies highly value this skill as well.

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer In Training (EIT)
EIT is the old name for FE. Having an FE designation shows an understanding of fundamental engineering principles. Receiving an FE designation is one step along the path toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, which is necessary to be a manger in an engineering field.
